Türk edebiyatı tarihi boyunca oluşmuş metinler çeşitli şekillerde incelemeye tabi tutulur. Bunlardan biri de anlatım biçimleri ile yapılan inceleme konusunu teşkil etmektedir. Bir anlatım biçimi olan edebî tarz, metinlerin anlaşılmasında yardımcı unsurlardan biridir. Edebî tarz olarak nitelendirilecek olan elif-nâme, Türk edebiyatında karşımıza çıkan metinlerden biridir. Bu metinler mısraların elif harfinden ye harfine doğru sıralanması ile oluşmaktadır. Bu şekilde oluşmuş manzumeler olan elif-nâmeler akrostiş yani muvaşşah sanatı ile benzeşen bir tekniktir. Bu çalışmada, edebî tarz tanımı yapılarak edebî türden farkının ne olduğu açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Tarz alanına dâhil olan elif-nâmeler hakkında genel bilgi verilerek elif-nâmenin tanımı ve tertip edilişi bakımından çeşitlerinin özellikleri ve tanımı yapılmıştır. Forms of expression of texts that occured in history of Turkish literature constitude the subject of examination. Literary form which is a phraseology is one of the items that helps to understand the texts. Texts of Elif-nâme described as literary style form with ranging of lines from letter of “Elif” to letter of “Ye”. Poem in this way is a technique similar to acrostic, i.e. art of muvaşşah. İn this study, Elif-nâme was determined by defining literary style and giving information about Elif-nâmes that get involved in this field. By giving general information about Elif-nâmes that include in field of style, it was given the characteristics of Elif-nâme’s varieties in the way of its determination and composing and it was identified. İt was given names of poets who have given sample of Elif-nâme during the history of Turkish literature in this study.
