Bu çalışmanın amacı Biyoloji Dersindeki, Bitkisel Dokular konusunun öğretiminde işbirliğine dayalı öğrenmenin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına ve kazandıkları bilgilerin kalıcılığına etkilerini araştırmaktır. Araştırmada, İşbirliğine dayalı öğretim yönteminin (İDÖY) öğrenci başarısına etkisini araştırmak için " Deney ve Kontrol gruplu öntest- sontest deneysel deseni" kullanılmıştır. Deney Grubu olan öğrencilere İDÖY, Kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere ise öğretmen merkezli öğretim yöntemleri ile ders anlatılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2010–2011 öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Bahçelievler ilçesindeki bir genel lisenin farklı iki 11. sınıfında öğrenim gören 71 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri Bitkisel Dokular Başarı Testi (BDBT) ile toplanmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarından, BDBT deneysel işlemlerden önce her iki gruba ön test olarak, konu işlendikten sonra son test ve uygulamalar tamamen bittikten dört hafta sonra da kalıcılık testi olarak uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlemeleri SPSS (13) paket programından yararlanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Grupların kendi aralarındaki; BDBT' nin ön test sonuçları, son test sonuçları ve kalıcılık testi sonuçları arasındaki farklılıkları anlamak için t testi kullanılmıştır. Sonuçların yorumlanmasında p=.05 anlamlılık düzeyi kabul edilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda; Deney Grubu öğrencilerinin Bitkisel Dokular konusuna ilişkin akademik başarıları ve öğrenilenlerin hatırda tutulması açısından Kontrol Grubu öğrencilerine göre daha olumlu etkilerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The main purpose of this research is to find out the effects of the Cooperative Learning on academic successes and stability of knowledge of the students in the learning of Plant Tissues in Biology Lessons. The sample of the study consists of 71 fourth grade high school students who study in high school in the district of Bahçelievler in İstanbul in the academic year of 2010-2011. In the experiment class, the subjects are taught by Cooperative Learning methods whilst in the control class, the subjects are tauhgt by the teacher centered methods. The data of this research has been collected via the achievement test of plant tissues(ATPT) and via the Interview Form of Cooperative Teaching Methods. The Achievement test of plant tissues (ATPT) is applied for pre-test for both groups before the experimental functions and is applied for remembering test after experimental works when the tests and functions are finished exactly. The analysis of the data are implemented by the helps of SPSS (13) package program. In order to understand the differences between the test results of two groups the t-Test is used. And to make sense of the results p=.05 is considered as meaningfulness level. The results show that cooperative learning has a positive effect on the subject of Plant Tissues and it is also useful for remembering the learned things.
