Folk beliefs are among the many topics of study in the humanities and social science. Under the topic of folk beliefs, folklore tries to study the remaining archaic objects from past religions once prevalent among a specific community. Exisitng definitions of the concept of beliefs reflect the limitations of modern science. Being one of the expressions that come to mind regarding folk beliefs, “superstition” also hosts reservations in major religious traditions.
