The most controversial issue in syntax is types of sentences according to structure. There are many studies discussing whether sentences with verbals and conditional sentences and reported speechs are simple sentences or complex sentences and also whether sentences joined with “ki” are compound or complex sentences. In this article, it is mentioned about different issues about syntax. For example these clauses seems simple sentences according to structure at first sight: “Uzun zamandır buralarda görünmedi. / Kaç gündür annemle konuşmadım. / Ne zamandır annemle konuşmadım. / Kaçtır seni buralarda görüyorum. / Yıllardır o türkü söylenir buralarda.” But words or group of words in this clause have copula. For this reason these clauses express more than one thought, so it is hard to say they are simple sentences. In this article, it will be discussed and decided whether these sentences are simple or complex sentences or complex sentences without the conjunction “ki” as Prof. Dr. Şükrü Haluk AKALIN mentioned at the first time. The situation of sentence of which parts of sentence that is not as a subject or object but indirect object [exp. Odada bir kahkahadır koptu. (Laughter broke out in the room), İki parti arasında şiddetli bir çarpışmadır başladı. (Began a violent collision between the two parties), Beni bir düşüncedir almıştı. (I got deep ideas), Herif ağaçta iken bir iniltidir işitir. (Hears the groans when the guy on tree) etc.] does not directly include in this article.
