However, historical developments of ranks in Turkish National Police Force have not been revealed in a collective manner. In this study scannig the police ranks of legislative texts, names, profession and evaulation were performed.police ranks like Police chief, the Commissioner came from Ottoman bureaucracy to Turkish Repuclic. These police ranks classes in each other and shows a continuity with the texts of the legislation.
