In this work where a phlosophical thought is told and explained, Jean Paul Sartre states his phlosophic views by means of protagonist Roquentin. Roquentin lives in a world that is not understood by him and he, bevilderedly, observes how the urban bourgeoisie cant perceive the reflections of the reality. Taking care of his thoughts to be clear, Jean Paul Sartre used a plain tongue and paid attention to his style to be cognisable. This is the general characteristic of that period.Authors made a point of being apparent intellectually in literary language The basic idea of the novel is that the hero of the work Roquentin is in a constant anxiety and demoralization. This is such a state of distress that led our hero to analyze the situation and try to understand the process. He decides to define this anxiety,he felt, as nausea and realizes that he does not recognize the status of this nausea.According to him nausea is being revolted at everything and and a state of alienation.Increasing state of nausea,in time, is an alienation from the objects, the society,self-precense,women and finally the world. In this study we examined the sense of alienation in Jean Paul Sartre’s Nausea under four sub-headings. Examining the personality of the Protagonist Rocquentin we probed that how he alienated from the objects, the society, himself and the women and we came to a conclusion. In this context,we stated that alienation is one of the most important social problems of our time and these problems cause psychic deterioration that arise through the confliction of the old culturel values and the new habitudes.
