Résumé: L’objet du présent article est essentiellement la question de la traduction des éléments culturels. Dans cette étude, nous voudrions indiquer nos idées et nos observations à propos de la traduction en français d’une œuvre d’Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, célèbre poète et romancier turc qui a été considéré comme le fondateur de la littérature turque moderne. Pour le corpus, nous avons pris le roman turc d’Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar intitulé “Beş Şehir” (“Cinq Villes”) et sa traduction en français. Il est évident que chaque langue contient, préfabrique, impose à ses locuteurs une certaine manière de regarder le monde, d’analyser l’expérience que nous avons du monde. Si nous voulons comprendre pourquoi et comment la traduction reste possible, il nous faut donc,d’abord, accepter dans son entièreté ce fait qu’une langue nous oblige à connaître d’autres cultures à voir le monde d’une certaine manière, la traduction n’est pas toujours possible. Elle ne l’est que dans une certaine mesure et dans certaines limites. G.Mounin souligne “pour bien traduire une langue, il ne suffit pas d’étudier cette langue, , il faut étudier, la culture qui lui correspond”(Mounin 1976,44-45) . Notre objectif, dans ce travail, est d’analyser la traduction, plus particulièrement des éléments spécifiques propres à une culture inexistante dans la langue cible. Il s’agit de montrer comment un certain nombre de réferences historiques et culturelles sont traduits dans ce moyen d’expression. Nous traiterons en ce qui concerne les réferences culturelles qui doivent être adoptées par les connaissances des lecteurs français; et qui sont également fortes nombreuses dans cette œuvre. Le traducteur doit expliquer au récepteur étranger, les particularités des termes ce qui lui sont compréhensibles et qu’il peut comparer avec les réalités déjà de la propre culture.Ces explications utilisées par le traducteur ont avant tout, une valeur informative, elles permettent aux récepteurs d’apprendre à quoi signalent ces éléments culturels dans le pays dont les textes sont traduits. Özet: Bu makalenin konusu, kültürel öğelerin çevirisi sorunudur. Çalışmamızda, modern Türk edebiyatının kurucusu olarak kabul edilen, ünlü şair ve Türk romancısı Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’ın Fransızca’ya çevrilmiş olan bir çalışmasıyla ilgili fikir ve görüşlerimiz belirtilmiştir. İncelememizde, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’ın Beş Şehir isimli romanı ve Fransızca çevirisi ele alınmıştır. Şu bir gerçektir ki; her dil, belirli bir ölçüde öteki kültürleri, dünyayı tanımamıza yardımcı olur. Eğer çevirinin nasıl ve niçin olabildiğini anlamak istiyorsak; her şeyden önce, bir dilin bütünlüğü içerisinde genelde çevrilemeyen, o dilin kültürel öğelerini ve dünyaya bakış açısını bilmek zorunda olduğumuzu kabul etmek gerekir.Her dil, belirli sınırlılıklar ve belirli kalıplar içerir. G. Mounin, iyi bir çeviri yapmak için, sadece dili bilmenin yeterli olmadığını, o dilin kültürünü de tanımak gerektiğini öne sürmektedir (Mounin 1976,44-45) . Bu çalışmadaki amacımız, özellikle hedef dilde var olmayan belirli kültürel öğelerin çevirisinin analiz edilmesidir.Burada söz konusu olan, bazı tarihsel ve kültürel referansların hedef kültüre nasıl aktarıldığını ve özellikle de hedef kültürde var olmayan öğelerin çevirisinde ne gibi bir yol izlendiğini göstermektir.. Kaynak metinde sayıca çok fazla olan ve Fransız okurların algılamasına ve bilgisine sunulan kültürel referanslar ele alınmaktadır. Çevirmen, bu kültürel referansları yabancı okura, onlara anlaşılır kılmak suretiyle , açıklamak zorundadır. Herşeyden önce, çevimen tarafından gerçekleştirilen bu açıklamalar bilgilendirici bir değere sahiptir ve eserin çevrildiği ülkede bu kültürel öğelerin neye işaret ettiğini alıcı okurun öğrenmesini sağlamaktadır.

Abstract: This article is about the problem of the translation of cultural subjects. In this study, our ideas and visions are mentioned related to a work translated into French written by the famous poet and novelist Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, regarded as the founder of modern Turkish literature. In our review, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s novel Beş Şehir “Five Cities” and its French translation is discussed. It's a fact that, every language, helps our understanding of the world and other cultures to a certain extent. If we want to understand how and why the translation could be, above all we have to accept cultural objects and the perspective of the world. Each language contains certain limitations and certain molds. G. Mounin suggests that knowing just the language is not enough to make a good translation except knowing the culture of that language (Mounin 1976,44-45) . The purpose of this study is the analysis of translation of the specific cultural elements that do not exist in the target language. What we have here is to show how some of the historical and cultural references transferred from the target culture, and how to translate the objects that do not exist in the target culture. Cultural references of the source text and French readers' perception are discussed. A translator of foreign readers, should disclose this cultural references, by making them comprehensible. First of all, this description performed by translator has a informative value and provides the reader to learn the meaning of these cultural objects of that country.
