‘Chronotope’ is a term means unity of time-space and feeling was obtained to literature by Mikhail Bakhtin’s benefiting from Einstein’s theory of relativity. This concept which consists of ‘chronos’ (time) and ‘topos’ (space) words, has a functional way because of increasing the area of the meaning of the literary texts. In this study the using of chronotope context is prefered because of frequently usage of feeling values about time and space in Saba’s poems. With this article, it is tried to gain a new perspective in addition to studies on Saba’s poems. Ziya Osman Saba, who lived between the years of 1910-1957, attracts attention with being sensitive and stable about home-family matters in modern Turkish poetry. Saba has three poem books named “Sebil ve Güvercinler” (1943), “Geçen Zaman” (1947), “Nefes Almak” (1957) and two story books named “Mesut İnsanlar Fotoğrafhanesi”(1952), “Değişen İstanbul” (1959). As a sole member of the group of ‘Yedi Meşaleci’ Saba had works like various types of memories, stories, letters, maintained his ‘poet’ qualification by being busy with poetry art from the age of seventeen. At that age he also published his first poem. So it should be known that he thought about poetry art and choosed carefully all the words which he used in his poems. Reading of Saba’s poems with this concept, will be useful for understanding his poems. Thus, it is seen in the chronotopes used in Saba’s poems like house, room, wardrobe, drawer, garden, door and gate, time, space and feeling are all mixed and have different represantation values.
