Türk öykücülüğüne, öykülerinin düzenlenişi ve sunuluşu açısından Batılı anlamda ivme kazandıran Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil’in “Heyhat” adlı öyküsünü yapı unsurları bakımından inceleyen bu çalışma, yazarın kurgu dünyasını tespit için tutulan bir aynadır. Öznenin özgürlük yolunda, yalnız ve tek başına olduğunu dile getirdiği bu öyküde, kendi kendisiyle yüzleşen insanın ruh durumu anlatılır.Olay örgüsü, kişiler dünyası, mekan, zaman, bakış açısı ve anlatıcı düzleminde incelemesi yapılan “Heyhat”, uzun öykü türünün modern tarzdaki ilk örneklerindendir.
In this work, story of Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil, who gave acceleration to Turkish storytelling in an occidental manner from the viewpoint of configuration and presentation of stories, named “Heyhat” is examined in terms of construction factors, thus this study mirrors the fiction world of the author. Mood of a person who faces himself/herself is described in this story in which it is expressed that subject is alone and by himself/herself in the way of freedom.“Heyhat”, which is examined from the viewpoints of plot, character world, setting, viewpoint and narrator, is one of the examples of long story category in modern style.
