Water Images and Metaphors in Suda Halkalar Which Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel’s Work


Suda Halkalar (Circles in Water) which the poetry book of Faruk Nafiz Çamlıbel, has not been translated into the Latin alphabet to the present day. The images of the water and metaphors which used in this work brought new connotations and approaches to the Turkish poetry. The images of the water in the poetry book are used instead of the poet's soul and dreams sometimes. These images are thought with poet’s darling and sometimes are used as a background. The poet formed the images of the water in his poem sadly. There are the poet and his darling in these tables. The images of the water and the dreams of the poet form the background of the poem.
