Her edebi metin, kendi içinde çözümlenmeyi bekleyen anlamlar taşır ve okuyucu metinden hareketle edebi eserin anlamlar dünyasını keşfe çıkar. Bu keşifte okuyucu, metni hem yazardan hareketle hem yazardan bağımsız yeniden anlamlandırma ve dilediği bakış açısıyla yeniden çözümleme özgürlüğüne sahiptir. Metni yorumlama ve çözümlemede okuyucuya yol gösteren yöntemlerden biri de göstergebilimdir. Temelinde sistematik ve bilinçli bir okuma eylemi yatan göstergebilim, gösteren ve gösterilen ilişkisi üzerine kuruludur ve metnin anlamsal yapısının çözümlenmesinde okuyucuya yardım etmektedir. Göstergebilim anlamı, anlamayı, anlamın nasıl oluştuğunu kendi içinde bir üst dil yaratarak inceler. Metnin anlamlı birimlerini ortaya çıkararak metnin doğru ve eksiksiz anlaşılmasını sağlamak adına öncelikle göstergeyi oluşturan gösteren-gösterilen ilişkisini çözümlemek gerekir. Bu yazıda Peride Celal’in “Melahat Hanımın Düzenli Yaşamı” adlı öyküsü, göstergebilimsel açıdan incelenmektedir. Öncelikle öykünün genel görüşü ortaya konmuş ve burada anlatı izlencesi Greimas’ın “sözleşme, edinç, edim ve yaptırım” anlatım şeması açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Öyküdeki anlam düzeylerini görebilmek, derin düzeye ulaşabilmek amacıyla öykü kesitlere ayrılmış ve karşıtlıklar tespit edilmiştir. Kesitler, belirlendikten sonra öykü zamanı ve öyküdeki uzamsal yapılar üzerinde durularak anlatıcının bakış açısı ortaya konarak öykünün genel anlamı derin yüzeyde göstergebilimsel dörtgende gösterilmiştir. Makalenin bu bölümündeki bilgilerden yola çıkılarak öyküdeki derin anlamsal düzey bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak Peride Celal’in “Melahat Hanım’ın Düzenli Yaşamı” adlı öyküsünde kurulmak istenen düzenin aslında bir görüntüden ibaret olduğu ve düzensizlik izleğinin ötesinde bir “yaşam” izleğinin bulunduğu savı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır, diyebiliriz.

Every literary text carries meanings waiting to be solved in itself and a reader explores of the literary text from the point of the meanings kingdom. On this exploration, the reader becomes independent to give the meaning and to analyse the text with and without the writer. One of the methods which shows the way to the reader for interpretation and analysis is semiology. Semiology underlying a systematic and conscious reading is located on signifiant and signified and helps the reader to analyse the semantic structure of the text. Semiology, analyzes the meaning, understanding and the way that the meaning was formed by creating a metalanguage in itself. To understand the text true, complete and accurate by bringing out its meaningful units, it is needed to analyse the signifiant and signified relation of the sign. In this paper, Peride Celal’s story named “ Melahat Hanım’s Regular Life” is been studied in terms of semiology. First of all the panaroma of the story was set forth and the narrative program was evaluated according to Greimas' expression scheme of "agreement, competence, performance and sanction". To understand the story, meaning levels of the story need to be seen. The story is intersected both to see the meaning levels and to reach the deep level. After the intersections are constructed, the viewpoint of the teller is tried to be determined by emphasizing the time and the spatial structures of the story. Thus, the overall meaning of the story is been showed on the semiotic square in deep level. In the consideration of this pointview, we can say that the argument of the whole system in the story is, in fact, made up of an image and beyond the disorder theme, there is a “life” theme is tried to be shown.
