Bu çalışmada, “arzu etmek, istemek” anlamındaki +sA- isimden fiil yapma ekini tanıtmak ve bu ekin özelliklerinin belirlemesine katkıda bulunmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla öncelikle Altayist ve Türkologların +sA- isimden fiil yapma eki hakkındaki görüşleri verilerek konunun tartışılması sağlanmıştır. Tarihî kaynaklardaki bilgilerden ve tarihî metinlerdeki örneklerden hareketle +sA- isimden fiil yapma ekinin yapısı ve kökeni incelenmiş ve bu ekin “bir şeyi kendi istekleri, kendi dilekleri arasında saymak” anlamındaki sa- fiilinin ekleşmesinden oluşan bir isimden fiil yapma eki olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu ekin Köktürk Türkçesi, Eski Uygur Türkçesi, Karahanlı Türkçesi, Harezm Türkçesi, Kıpçak Türkçesi, Eski Anadolu Türkçesi ve Çağatay Türkçesindeki kullanımları örneklendirilerek tarihî gelişimi incelenmiş, +sA- isimden fiil yapma ekinin Türkçenin tarihî dönemlerinde kullanılan canlı bir ek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca +sA- ekinin Çağdaş Türk Dillerindeki kullanımı incelenmiş ve örneklendirilmiştir. +sA- isimden fiil yapma ekinin tespit edilen on iki genişletilmiş şeklinin şekil, anlam ve işlevleri incelenerek örneklendirilmiştir. –sA- şart kipi ekinin yapısı, kökeni ve tarihî gelişimi ile ilgili bilgi verildikten sonra +sA- isimden fiil yapma eki ile ilişkisi incelenmiş, bu iki ekin yapı ve köken olarak farklı ekler olduğu, tarihî süreç içinde birbirine karıştırıldığı tespit edilmiştir. +sI- isimden fiil yapma ekinin yapısı, kökeni ve tarihî gelişimi ile ilgili bilgi verildikten sonra +sA- isimden fiil yapma eki ile ilişkisi incelenmiş, bu iki ekin köken, işlev ve anlam bakımından farklı ekler olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, it is aimed to define the suffix +sA- which makes verb from noun and means “want, desire” and to contribute for identifying the properties of that suffix. For this purpose, firstly the views of Turkologists and Altayist about suffix +sA which makes verb from nouns to discuss views on the subject has been given. By using examples of historical texts and historical sources of information to make verb from nouns suffix names the structure and origin of +sA- was determined and it was concluded that this suffix +sA- which is meaning in considering a thing on their own and considering it between their own wishes is a suffix which makes verb from nouns. The historical development of this suffix by using examples of Kokturk Turkish, Old Uigur Turkish, Karahan Turkish, Khwarezm Turkish, Kipchak Turkish, Old Anatolian Turkish and Chagatai Turkish uses was determined and it was stated that suffix is a living suffix. Besides, the uses of +sA- was determined and some examples about it were given. Again the identified extended 12 types of +sA- suffix which makes verb from nouns were illustrated. After giving information about the structure, the origin and historical development of suffix conditional mood -sA-, the relationship with +sA- which make verb from noun and +sA- suffix were examined. And it is identified that these two suffixes different as origin and structure and they are confused to each other in historical period. After giving information about the structure, origin and historical development of +sI- suffix which makes verb from noun the relation with +sA- was determined and it was identified that these two suffixes are different in terms of function and meaning.
