In this study, it is aimed to define the suffix +sA- which makes verb from noun and means “want, desire” and to contribute for identifying the properties of that suffix. For this purpose, firstly the views of Turkologists and Altayist about suffix +sA which makes verb from nouns to discuss views on the subject has been given. By using examples of historical texts and historical sources of information to make verb from nouns suffix names the structure and origin of +sA- was determined and it was concluded that this suffix +sA- which is meaning in considering a thing on their own and considering it between their own wishes is a suffix which makes verb from nouns. The historical development of this suffix by using examples of Kokturk Turkish, Old Uigur Turkish, Karahan Turkish, Khwarezm Turkish, Kipchak Turkish, Old Anatolian Turkish and Chagatai Turkish uses was determined and it was stated that suffix is a living suffix. Besides, the uses of +sA- was determined and some examples about it were given. Again the identified extended 12 types of +sA- suffix which makes verb from nouns were illustrated. After giving information about the structure, the origin and historical development of suffix conditional mood -sA-, the relationship with +sA- which make verb from noun and +sA- suffix were examined. And it is identified that these two suffixes different as origin and structure and they are confused to each other in historical period. After giving information about the structure, origin and historical development of +sI- suffix which makes verb from noun the relation with +sA- was determined and it was identified that these two suffixes are different in terms of function and meaning.
