Bu çalışmanın amacı, 11. yüzyıla ait Eski Uygurca Dasakarmapathaavadanamala (DKPAM) adlı bir eserde geçen yalgukk(ı)ya kelimesinin etimolojik bir incelemesini yapmaktır. Bu kelime, hapax legomenon (Hap.leg) olarak tanımlanan bir kelimedir. Hapax legomenon, bir dokümanda ya da bir edebi eserde yalnızca bir kez geçen sözcük anlamına gelen Yunanca kökenli bir terimdir. İncelememizin konusu olan yalgukk(ı)ya kelimesi, Berlin-Brandenburg Bilimler Akademisi Mainz koleksiyonuna ait Mz. 766 numaralı belgenin Ön yüzü 13 ve 15. satırlarında yer almaktadır.
The aim of this study is to make on etymological analysis of the word yalgukk(ı)ya which is stated in a work of 11th century called Dasakarmapathaavadanamala (DKPAM) which is written Old Uigur. This word is defined as Hapax legomenon (Hap.leg). Hapax legomenon is a Greek term which means the word being stated only ones in a document or in literary studies. The word yalgukk(ı)ya, the subject of our analysis, is mentioned in the 13th and 15th lines on the front page of the document numbered Mz. 766 which belongs to the Mainz collection of Berlin Brandenburg Academy of Sciences.
