Analysis of Value Elements in Stories in Eight Grade Turkish Course Books With Regard to Collocation Patterns


The present study aims to identify the collocational patterns of the value elements in eigth grade Turkish course books of MNE publications in light of textual context. According to the results of the study which employed document analysis, the texts in the course book have a rich collocational word pattern in terms of value transfer. Since national values can be directly or indirectly transferred in stories, the collocation pattern towards value transfer was found to support this condition and both values transfer and collocational dimensions were found to be at a good level.
