Elif-nâme, elif ve nâme sözcüklerinin birleşmesinden meydana gelmiş bir kelime olup aynı zamanda bir manzumenin adıdır. Elif harfinden ye harfine doğru alfabetik olarak sıralanması akrostiş yani muvaşşah sanatı ile örtüşmekte ve elif-nâmelerin Türk edebiyatında çok sayıda örneği bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle elif-nâmenin tanımı yapılmış ve genel olarak elif-nâmeler hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. Daha sonra Senî Ali’nin hayatına kısaca değinilmiş, ardından şâirin dîvânında yer alan elif-nâme metni transkripsiyon harflerine aktarılarak şekil ve muhteva yönünden değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
