Haji Bektash Veli was a Turkish Sufi who has been an influential figure both in Turkish mysticism and social life with his thoughts transcending ages. The love, veneration, and devotion towards Haji Bektash Veli have thrived in the hearts of people most of all in Anatolia and the Balkans and in many other places all around the world for centuries; and his ideas, thoughts, and sayings have been retold from generation to generation until today. To better understand Haji Bektash Veli we first need to examine his work. In sufi culture, the talks between the quide and his disciples constitute his primary works which directly reflect his thoughts. Haji Bektash Veli's life and his practices as well as his view of aspects of social life are included in Velayetnâme. Erkânnâme is the combination of texts about Cem rituals and conceptions in Bektashi tradition. The purpose of these texts is teaching the rules of tradition to new participants of Bektashi tradition. This article given information about Bektashi rules are works which are written by the leaders of dervishes including the basic standards dervishes have to obey. In this study, Haji Bektash Veli describes the qualities of the works of dervish.
