Bu makalede Fransız yazar Racine’in “Phedre” adlı oyunu ile Ahmet Midhat Efendi’nin “Fürs-i Kadimde Bir Facia Yahut Siyavuş” adlı oyunları üzerinde durulmuştur. İçerikleri bakımından benzerlikler gösteren her iki oyunun olay örgüleri verildikten sonra eserlerin benzerliklerinden söz edilmiştir. Daha sonra oyun kişilerinin de mukayesesi yapılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde ise her iki eserin benzer bir yapı ve kişiler üzerinde kurgulandığından bahsedilmiş ayrıca eserlerdeki farklılıklara da kısaca değinilmiştir. Böylece Fransız ve Türk edebiyatından iki tiyatro eserinin karşılaştırmalı bir incelemesi yapılmıştır.
In this article it is aimed to make a comparison between Ahmet Midhat Efendi’s play “Fürs-i Kadimde Bir Facia Yahut Siyavuş” and French author Racine’s play “Phedre”. Both plays have common elements in their contents. In the article firstly the plots of the plays are examined and their resemblances are explained. Then the characters of the plays are compared. At the end it is concluded that the two pieces of literature have a common style of fiction with similar structure and characters. In the article the differences of the plays are also discussed. In this way two plays, one from Turkish literature and one from French literature, are examined comparatively.
