Yapısalcılığın sonu/ karşıtı/ parçalayıcısı olarak algılanan Yapısökücülük, okur merkezli bir yorumlanışın sahasıdır. Yapısalcılara ve Yapısökücülere göre metin her şeyden yücedir, en soyludur. Onun dışındakiler ‘öteki’ kavramıyla ifade edilmektedir. Yapısökme kuramında okura düşen, metnin merkezine ya da iç realitesine olduğu kadar; onun dışında kalan, söylenmese de çağrışımlarla kavrayabildiğimiz, asıl yönlendirici olan bilinmeyenleri de anlamaya çalışmaktır.
