In Turkish Literature “Our Village” As an Ethnographic Literary Work


In Turkey especially in the second half of the 20th century, village theme works have a considerable place in the fields of Literature and Social Anthropology. In this article, in which one of the early products of village literature in Republican Era Turkish Literature has been reviewed in relation to ethnographic literature, the ethnographicity of the book “Bizim Köy”has been discussed in terms of its reflection of village reality as well as the characteristics that make it an example of reflexive writing in the light of ongoing discussions on ethnograhic writing.
