In the time of social crise which loyalty gains great value, Anatolia, has started to receive attention with being neglected. The idea of Anatolianism that has deep historical, ideological and cultural roots was being formed under above dynamics. Conjoctural atmosphere of that period was also contributing the idea of Anatolianism. Today, we could have been talking about a “Turkish Ronesans”, if there was a great consensus among the Anatolianists. This movement has been melted into Turkish Intellectual History with having no influence. Mehmet Kaplan, in his college years, met with the books of Hilmi Ziya Ulken who is one of the prime actors of Anatolianism movements. He was following Ulken’s class in his university years and claiming that he is one of the active persuants of that movement. As an active intelectual, he has never changed his position regarding to that movement and exposed his active position by the end of his life for his passion to Anatolian movement with different occasions. Kaplan’s passion to Anatolia was very well known but his close connections to Anatolianist has never been examined.
