Edebiyat dünyasında “Kadın edebiyatı var mıdır yok mudur?” tartışmaları süredursun, kadın yazarlar edebiyatın her alanında eser vermeye devam etmektedirler. Bu alanlardan biri de polisiye romanlardır. Bu çalışmada, polisiye romanlarda kadın ve erkek söyleminin boyutlarını araştırmak bunu yaparken de kadın yazar ile erkek yazarın “suç”u kurgularken tercih ettikleri yolların farklılığını, onların yarattığı karakterlerin kadın ve erkek söylemi açısından temsil ettikleri değerleri ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. İzlenen yol ise, kadın ve erkek söylemlerini temel alan başlıklar altında, her iki romanı karşılaştırmak ve her başlık için genel bir değerlendirme yapmak şeklindedir. Romanlar hem teknik hem de içerik açısından ele alınmış, sonuç bölümünde ise, çalışmanın bütününü kapsayan çıkarımlar sıralanmıştır.
Regardless of the incessant debates on the question of “Whether there is a Woman’s Literature or not?” within the literary circles, woman writers are continuing to produce pieces of art within every genre of literature. One of these genres is detective fiction. In this present paper, the writer aims at investigating the formats of the man – woman discourse in detective fiction and whilst doing this aims at exposing the different ways the male writer and the female writer chooses for fictionalizing the ‘crime’ and the value the fictional characters they created stands for the man – woman discourse. The method adopted is to take up main debates on the man – woman discourse to compare the two novels in their context and to draw general conclusions under each debate. The novels are approached both technically and content-wise. In the conclusion part, the deductions regarding the whole paper are stated.
