Tarihî süreç içersinde yaşanan olaylar, insanların zihinlerine kazınır ve sözlü üretim repertuarını teşkil eder. Bu üretim sürecinin bir ürünü olarak ortaya çıkan türküler; savaşları, göçleri, kıtlıkları kısacası insanı etkileyen her türlü olayı konu edinerek tarihî akış içerisinde, sonraki nesillerin dikkatine sunar. Sözlü kültür-sözlü tarih ilişkisi diye adlandırdığımız disiplinler arası ilişki, bahsini ettiğimiz sözel üretimlerle tarihî belgeler arasındaki bağı irdeler. Böylelikle resmî tarihin yanı sıra halkın belleğindeki tarih dikkatlere sunulur. Bu durum bize bir taraftan tarihî olayları daha iyi anlama şansı sunarken öte taraftan tarihî olayların bizzat içerisinde olan insanların duygularını –türküler, destanlar vb. vasıtasıyla- anlamamızı sağlar. Çalışmamızın konusunu oluşturan türkülerin yakıldığı vilayet olan Niş, yaklaşık beş asır boyunca Osmanlı idaresinde bulunmuştur. Bu süreç içerisinde gerek uzun zamandır Balkanlarda bulunan Türk boylarının folklorik üretimleriyle gerekse kolonizatör dervişlerin çabalarıyla Türk kimliği bu bölgede kaybolmamıştır. Biz de çalışmamızda Türklere yurtluk etmiş olan Balkanlardaki Niş vilayeti ile ilgili tarihe tanıklık eden insanların yaktıkları türküleri sözlü tarih bağlamında ele alacağız.
All the things, happening through the history, are memorized by the people and form the verbal production repertoire. Folks, which arise as a result of this production period, takes everything as a subject which has permanent effects on people, such as wars and migrates and serves them to the next generations. The relation between dyciplines, which we call as verbal culture and verbal history, studies the connection between verbal production and historical documents. By this way, beside the official history; the memorial history is focused on. This case provides us to get the historical events in a better manner while supporting us to understand the psychology of people who lives in that age through the folks and legends. Niş, which we will focus on during our studies, was owned by Ottoman for five centuries. During this period, both by the effect of folkloric activities of Turks living in that area and by the effort of colonizator dervishes; Turk culture has never expired in that region. Also in our study, we will handle the people who witnessed to Niş city where has been a good yard for Turks through the history and their folks.
