ÖZET Bir yazılı metnin en temel işlevi iletişim işlevidir. Yazılı metin aracılığıyla iletişim kurabilmek için o metnin tutarlılık ölçütlerini karşılaması gerekir. Öğrencilerce okullarda gerçekleştirilen yazılı metin üretme etkinliklerinin de temelde amacı tutarlılık ölçütlerini karşılayan metinler üretilmesini sağlamaktır. Bu nedenle öğrencilerin ürettikleri metinlerin tutarlılık açısından değerlendirilmesi hem durum saptaması yapmak açısından hem de öğretimsel açıdan önemlidir. Bu gerçeklikten yola çıkarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada öğrencilerin tutarlı metin üretimine ilişkin sorunları olduğu bulgulanmıştır. Bu sorunların değişkenlere göre dağılımında kızların ve yüksek öğretim öğrencilerinin daha başarılı oldukları bulgulanmıştır.
The most fundematel function of a written text is its communication function. In order to communiate via a written text, that text must meet the coherence criteria. The main aim of written text production activities done in schools by students is to provide the production of texts that meet the coherence criteria. Therefore, an evaluation of student texts in the context of coherence is important in terms of setting the context and in terms of teaching. In the present study it was found that studens have problems in relation to the production of coherent texts. In the distribution of these problems acording to variables it was found that girls and higher education students are more succesful in comparision to boys and high/elementary school sudents.
