Tarihî romancılık konusunda 1960’lı yıllarda ün kazanmış önemli şahsiyetlerden birisi de Ragıp Şevki Yeşim’dir. Tarihî romana yönelmesinin arka plânında bu türü Türk okuyucusuna sevdirme düşüncesi yatan Yeşim’in, eserlerinde, tarihî gerçeklere bağlı kalmaya özen göstermekle birlikte, bu gerçekliği zaman zaman hayal dünyasıyla da süslediği görülür. Yazarın dikkati çeken bir başka önemli yanı ise üslûbunun akıcılığı ve dilindeki sadeliktir.
When we classify the novalism activities according to the subjects, historical novalism seems to be one of the most important novel kinds.
