Araştırmada, ortaöğretim tarih derslerinde birinci ve ikinci el kaynaklar ile etkinlik temelli ders işlenmesi ile öğrencilerin tarihsel düşünme becerilerinin gelişiminin artmasına değinilmiştir. Bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi olarak öğrencilerin uygulama sırasında yazdıkları tarihsel metinler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile yorumlanmıştır. Uygulama sonunda nitel veriler betimsel analiz ile değerlendirilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Nitel bulgular sonucunda; tarih derslerinde birinci ve ikinci el kaynaklar kullanılmasının, deney grubu öğrencilerinin tarihsel düşünme becerilerine kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre olumlu anlamda daha fazla etki ettiği belirlenmiştir.
In the research, development of students’ historical thinking abilities have been mentioned related to using first and second hand sources with based on activities in history lessons in high schools. Qualitative research method has been used in this study. As qualitative research method historical texts of students’ works written in their practice process are interpreted with descriptive analysed method . At the end of the application, qualitative results have been evaluated and interpreted with descriptive analysis. At the end of the qualitative findings, it was noticed that using first and second hand sources in the lessons have affected experimental group’s students’ historical thinking abilities more than control group’s students’ in a positive way.
