Rus Türkolojisinin ister Sovyet döneminde (1917-1991) isterse de Sovyet öncesi ve sonrası döneminde olsun edebî dil meselesi zaman zaman gündeme gelmiş ve bu mesele ile ilgili önemli düşünceler ortaya atılmış, sınıflandırmalar yapılmış, Türk edebî dillerinin tarihi ve çağdaş durumu üzerine araştırmalar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Edebî dillerin ayrılması ve birleşmesi süreçleri üzerine özellikle W. Radloff’un, S. E. Malov’un, A. N. Samoyloviç’in, N. A. Baskakov’un, A. N. Kononov’un, E. R. Tenişev’in, İ. V. Stebleva’nın, G. F. Blagova’nın yaptığı tetkikler göze çarpmaktadır. Biz, E. R. Tenişev’in araştırmalarını kuramsal ve deneysel açıdan daha başarılı ve objektif buluyoruz. Son yirmi yılda bu mesele üzerine yazılmış makale ve kitaplar dikkat çekmektedir. E. R. Tenişev’in “История тюркских письменных литературных языков донациональной поры” (Milletleşmeye Kadar Türk Yazılı Edebî Dillerinin Tarihi) adlı makalesi Türk edebî dil tarihi teorisi için yeni bir yaklaşım ve teorik bir çalışmadır.
The matter of literary language was brought to agenda from time to time not only during the Soviet period (1917-1991) but also pre-and-post-Soviet periods of Russian Turcology, and regarding this matter, important opinions were put forward, classifications were made, and studies were made on the history of Turkish literary languages and their current status. Especially, those made on separation and unification processes of literary languages by W. Radlof, S. E. Malov, A. N. Samoyloviç N. A. Baskakov, A. N. Kononov, E. R. Tenişev, İ. V. Stebleva, and G. F. Blagova stand out. In this respect, we find E. R. Tenisev’s studies more successful and objective from theoretical and experimental points of view. In the last twenty years, articles and books written on this matter have been drawing attention. The article of E. R. Tenisev’s entitled “??????? ???????? ?????????? ???????????? ?????? ?????????????? ????” (History of Turkish Written Literary Languages until Becoming a Nation) is a new and theory-based approach for the theory of the Turkish literary language history.
