Battal-nâme (Türk), Sasonlu Tavit (Ermeni) ve Digenes Akrites (Bizans) destanları farklı toplumlara aittir. Bu üç destanı bizim için ilginç kılan ise, her üçünün de konularının – özellikle Sasonlu Tavit ve Digenes Akrites – Anadolu topraklarında geçmesidir. Özellikle Sasonlu Tavit üzerinde Türk destanlarının hem yapı hem de üslup yönünden açık bir tesiri görülmüştür. Bu çalışmamızda rüya kavramı ve destanlardaki işlevlevinin yanında, modern psikolojinin rüya tanımını ve destanlardaki rüyaların hangi kategoriye girdiğini de anlatmaya gayret gösterdik. Her üç destanda da benzer rüyaların varlığı, bu rüyalarda görülen şahsiyetlerin fonksiyonlarının aynı olduğu görüldü. Bu durum, üç toplumun da uzun tarihî müşterekliği ve karşılıklı etkileşimleri neticesinde olmuştur. Ancak, Ermeni folklorunun diğer örneklerinden de hareketle Türk anlatı geleneğinin ve Türklerin Şamanizm anlayışının, Sasonlu Tavit ve Digenes Akrites destanlarındaki rüyalarda etkin bir şekilde görüldüğü tespit edilmiştir.
Battal-nâme, David of Sassoun and Digenes Akritas belongs to three different societys. The most important feature of these three epics, that their issues occured in Anatolia. However, there isn’t a relationship between Turks and the plot of the epics. But Turkish narrative tradition deeply affected these epics and their plots. The relationship between narrator and listener, depiction of heroes, and relationship with each other, we can see many similar theme in the epics. In this paper we researched concept of dream, the function of dreams in the epics, what is the concept of dream in the modern psychology and its overwiev on the dreams. The function of dreams, and peoples in the dreams are similar in the each epics. This stiation occured historical association between three community. As a result of this article, we understand, that Turkish narrative tradition and understanding of Turkis Shaman is very effective on these three epics.
