Çağatay edebiyatının bir safhası da XVII-XIX. yüzyıllar arasını kapsayan hanlıklar dönemidir. Bu dönemde Türkistan’da kurulan Buhara, Harezm ve Hokand hanlıklarında oluşan edebî muhitlerde önemli şahsiyetler yetişmiş ve bu şahsiyetler tarafından orijinal eserler ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışmada söz konusu hanlıklarda yetişen edebî şahsiyetler ve onların eserleri hakkında bilgiler verilecektir. Ayrıca bu eserlerin el yazma nüshalarının bulundukları kütüphaneler ve envanter numaraları verilerek Çağatay edebiyatının bu dönemine ait bilimsel çalışma yapacaklara kolaylık sağlanması da amaç edinilmiştir.
