It is well known that G. Nerval is one of the most important figures of French poetry. Most of his poems are nourished by his own experiences, which is the reality and the illusions, the dreams and the references to the mythology, that he was affected. Here the point is that the syncretism between these two poles turns out to be reminiscence. Whenever the reality becomes unbearable, the poet identifies himself with the mythological characters.
