Melekşâh u Gülrû adlı eser, XVIII. yüzyılın başlarında Nazîf mahlaslı Mîr Mehmed b. Hüseyin Paşa tarafından kaleme alınmıştır. Yazarının ifadesine göre eser, aynı adı taşıyan Farsça manzum bir eserden Türkçeye aktarılmıştır. Manzum-mensur karışık bir yapıda yazılan eserin konusu Melekşâh ve Gülrû adlı iki kahramanın başından geçen aşk hikâyesidir; bununla birlikte eserin siyasetname özelliği de dikkat çekmektedir. Bu makalede, bahsi geçen eserin öncelikle kısa bir incelemesi yapılacak, ardından çevriyazılı metnine yer verilecektir.
The Malakshâh and Gulrû had been written by Mîr Mehmed b. Hüseyin Paşa who had used Nazîf as pseudonym in the early XVIII. century. According to its author’s statement it had been translated from a Persian work written in verse. Although Nazîf had writed his work in prose he also used many verses in it. The topic of the Malakshâh and Gulrû is a love story; nevertheless it is possible to find traces of motifs of siyâsetnâmes (works on statesmanship). So in this article, firstly the aforementioned work will be analysed by emphasizing to its important features and then, there will be the Latinized text of this work.
