Fuzûlî and Bâkî are two important poets that made important contributions to classical Turkish poetry in XVI. Century. The type of love that both poets explored in their poems have been discussed widely by scholars hers and different opinions have been submitted about this issue. Love which is a popular theme in classical poetry is being shaped at the axis of lover and this gives an idea about the character of love. İt is essential to examine comparatively how love takes place in the poems of Fuzuli and Baki, order to see the contribution of two major poets that lived in the same century to the common basis of diwan poetry in context of love concept. For this purpose, the concepts about love and lover types in the diwans of the mentioned poets are determined and they have been objectified with various examples.
