Çocuk edebiyatının, eğitimbilimden ve filolojilerden ayrı bir alan olarak ortaya çıkışının uzun bir geçmişi yoktur. Dünyada kendi dinamikleriyle ilerleyen bir alan görünümünü kazanması, son birkaç on yıllık geçmişe sahip olan çocuk edebiyatı eleştirisi ise daha yeni bir eleştiri türüdür. Bununla birlikte eğitim bilimleriyle, edebiyat teorisinin yanı sıra, farklı sosyal bilim disiplinlerinden ve bazen de güzel sanatlardan aldığı yöntemlerle birden çok alanın sınırları içinde yer almaktadır. Yetişkin edebiyatına uygulanan kuramların tümünden yararlanan çocuk edebiyatı eleştirisinde, çocuğun gelişim bilgisi ve okurluk konumu önem arz eder. Bu makalede çocuk edebiyatı eleştirisinin şekillenmesi, değişik disiplinler ve edebiyat kuramı ile kurduğu ilişki üzerine analitik bir yaklaşım sergilenmektedir.
It has not been long that children’s literature has come into existence as separate area different from Educational Sciences and Philology. Since children’s literature has a short history of several decades, children’s literature criticism is rather a new type. Children’s literature has made use of methodologies of educational sciences, literature theories, different social sciences disciplines and even fine art studies and that has made children’s literature to be located within the boundaries of different disciplines. Children’s literature criticism makes use of all theories applied to adult literature and pays particular attention to the knowledge of children’s development and their literacy. This paper aims to analytically examine how children’s literature criticism has developed, its relationship with different disciplines and its connections with literature theory.
