The Order is Koroglu of Van Kyrgyzs

In oral and written narrative ‘telling events by arranging in order’ is related to time. In epic narrative, there is not an entirely parallels between the time sequence of narration and the time sequence of story. Because in narrative time, running ‘forward’ and ‘back’, in other words ‘analepsis’ and ‘prolepsis’ is unavoidable. These time deviations occur because of two time axises’ different qualities. In epic narration, the time of breathing gets opportunity to return past time even it happens rarely (Ibraev, 1998: 114). The epic Koroglu, which belongs to Van Kyrgyzs will be studied in this research. İt may be considered that Koroğlu Epic of Van Kyrgyzs is the Kyrgyz adapted type of a Turkmen variant. This epic narration, in addition to being not published work, hasn’t been researched both in linguistic and narrative point of view. And also it is a rich material in respect to its narrative features because it is full of analepsis and prolepsis which occur depending on breathing time.
