Cumhuriyet dönemindeki “ideolojik şiir”in bir parçası olan sosyalist şiir veya toplumcu gerçekçi şiir anlayışının kökenleri Nazım Hikmet ve Ahmet Arif gibi sanatçılara dayanır. 1940’lardan 1980’e kadar dönem dönem Türk şiirinde egemen olan bu şiir anlayışına bağlı şairler, genellikle estetik eğilimin dışında durup daha çok içeriği esas alarak sosyalist dünya görüşü ekseninde şiirler yazmayı tercih etmişlerdir. 1970’lerde yaygınlaşan bu söylem, 1980’lerde hız kesmiş; ama tamamen terk edilmemiştir. Biz bu çalışmamızda sosyalist şiirin bu serüvenini ele alıp incelemeye çalışacağız.
In this study, Turkish poetry published between the years 1923-2000 were examined from the aspect of socialist realism. In our study, the development of socialist realism in our country and the effect of it on Turkish poetry were examined. This study gives a general evaluation of socialist realism in our poetry was given. The aim is to show the situation of socialist realism in our poetry formed before 2000.
