Modern City And Alienation In The Context Of Erdem Bayazit’s Poetry

Erdem Bayazıt is one of the most important Turkish poets in Turkish literature. He had an important role especially in 1960’s. İn his poem, Erdam Bayazıt deals with the issues of human being’s becoming alienated to himself, enviroment and history in modern life. Bayazıt thinks that modernism disposes to human soul. According to him modern cities are one of that places which disposes the human soul. We study human’s state in modern cities in this article.
