The Common Characteristics Between The Siberian Tatar Turkic And Southern Siberian Turkic Dialects (Altaic, Khakas, Tuva)


The Siberian Tatar dialects, which constitues one of the three dialects of Tatar Turkic and which are called the Eastern (Western Siberia) dialects in Tatarian linguistics, are spoken by Tatarian Turks who live in a very scarce area in the Western Siberia district. As the Western Siberian Tatars are geographically near to the area in which the Southern Siberian dialects such as Altaic, Khakas and Tuva are spoken, they bear various common characteristics with the dialects aforementioned. In this study, the common characteristics between the Siberian Tatar dialects (Altaic, Khakas, Tuva) are dealt with, these available common characteristics are tried to be explained in terms of phonology, morphology and vocabulary.
