Aptitude And Merit In The Masnawi Of Rumi

Rûmî describes the perfect human (insân-ı kâmil) through stories in his Masnawi. He suggests having the necessary traits of a perfect human. He also urges to keep a distance from the lack of existence of those traits and from the opposite traits. In this framework, he strongly emphasizes aptitude and merit concepts. According to his writings, to secure peace and justice in a society these values should be cared for. Aptitude and merit based appointments could provide peace and justice among people; otherwise social system would be corrupted
