Feridüddin Attar tarafından yazılmış, tasavvuf edebiyatının başlıca eserlerinden olan Mantık-ut Tayr'da geçen “Seyh San`an” hikayesinin mevzusu Azerbeycan edebiyatında hem orta esirler, hem müasir edebiyyatda işlenmiştir. Azerbeycan edebiyyatında bu mevzuda yazılmış en son eser genç yazar Fahri Uğurlunun “Şeyx San`an” hikayesidir. Fahri Uğurlu saleflerinden farklı olarak bu eseri tamamen yeni bir uslup ve mevzuda yazmışdır.

This parable about love of Moslem to the Christian maiden is one of the widespread theme have been used in Azerbaijan classic and modern literature. The last work in Azerbaijani literature written about Shaikh Sanan`s love history belongs to Fakhri Ughurlu, XXI century poet. Fakhri Ughurlu added some subjects to this popular tale using his poetic potential and created a new love story.
