ALEV ALATLI AND TRACKING DOWN GOGOL -Looking at Turkey With Russia Sample-


Alev Alatlı is a novalist who gives importance to sciences like philosophy, politics, economy, theology, physics, psychology, sociology and who can reflect these attentions to her novels while thinking about human being and universe in a totaliter (holistic) shape. In the book named Gogol’un İzinde of the author, it has been considered in many differents ways of survival struggles of Russian people from history to present in a novel fiction and described an artistic narration. There are a lot of events and thoughts appears in the book which can make free association of ideas about Turkey which is also important and functional for Turkish readers. While Alatlı is telling about Russia and Russian people, she wanted to give a message with patterning Russia to Turkish people. In the novel which Turkish and era’s problems tried to be discuss with an universal viewpoint, the author succeed in using thought worlds of Russian intellectuals as source and aggregate a great deal of Russian autors in same tought entireness. Gogol’un İzinde is an important work which is fed with real sources and an approach we do not used to, steers into Türkiye and Türkish people reviews above an another society.
