Her bilim dalının kendi mahiyetine göre çalışma ve araştırma, yani doğru, yeterli ve tutarlı bilgiye ulaşma usulleri vardır. Bütün bi¬limsel çalışmalarda “kaynaklar” ve ileri sürülen “tezler” kadar önemli olan bir diğer unsur da bu usullerdir. Diğer bilim dallarında olduğu gibi ede¬biyat biliminin araştırma usulleri de doğru ve yeterli bil¬giye ulaşmada büyük öneme sahiptir. O sebeple bu ça¬lışmada genel olarak edebi¬yat bi¬liminin, özel olarak “Yeni Türk Edebiyatı” bilim dalının araştırma usullerini genel hatlarıyla belirlemek ve bilimsel, objektif, kapsamlı, nite¬likli bir araştırmanın özel¬liklerini ortaya koymak amaç-lanmıştır.
Every science has its own method of study and research, which lets them reach correct, sufficient and consistent knowledge. In all scientific studies, one of the elements which is as much important as the ‘sources’ and the ‘theses’ that are put forward is these methods. As in other braches of science, the research methods of the science of literature are also of great importance in terms of having access to correct and sufficient information. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the research methods of science of literature, in general, and ‘Modern Turkish Literature’, in private, in a broad sense, and to establish the characteristics of a scientific, objective, comprehensive and qualified research.
