Sovyetler Birliği’nin dağılması ile bağımsızlıklarına kavuşan Türk Cumhuriyetleri, başta Türkiye olmak üzere dünya devletleriyle sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel ilişkilere girmiştir. Bunun sonucunda pek çok bilim adamı bilimsel çalışma yapmak üzere bu bölgelere gelerek, buralardaki Türk kimliğinin en önemli kanıtı olan sanat eserlerini inceleme olanağı bulmuştur. Kuvvetini tarihinin derinliklerinden alan Türk Sanatı, sürekli olarak Orta Asya ve Kafkaslara kadar uzanan köklerinden beslenmiştir. Bu çalışmada da, XI-XIX. yüzyıllar arasında, Azerbaycan’da inşa edilmiş mimari eserlerin tarihlendirilmelerinde, birinci derecede kaynak durumundaki kitabeler üzerinde durularak, bunlarda yer alan inşa ve süsleme ustalarının unvanları ve bir dizi problemleri tanıtılacaktır.
Turkic republics, which gained their independency after the collapse of Soviet Union, get in touch with the other states on social, economic and cultural relations, especially with Türkiye. Many scientists have had the chance to go to these regions for the scientific researches and to examine the art monuments, which are the most important evidences of the Turkish identity, after the collapse. Turkish art, which takes its strength from the depth of history, has been fed continually from its roots extended to Central Asia and Caucasus. In this study, the inscriptions, which are the primary sources on dating the architectural monuments constructed in Azerbaijan between XI-XIX centuries, have been examined and the superscriptions of the construction and decoration masters’ and some other problems have been introduced.
