Bu çalışmada Kırgız destanları ve bu destanların toplumsal yapıyı nasıl etkiledikleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Sosyal ve kahramanlık destanlarının tarihi kaynakları verilmiş, kısaca içeriklerinden söz edilmiştir. Bu arada, kahramanların özelliklerinden, kadın ve erkek kahramanların metin içindeki fonksiyonlarından ve başka toplumsal rollerinden bahsedilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde ise, destanların günümüz Kırgız toplumunun kültürel yapısını nasıl etkiledikleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.
This study focuses on Kirghiz epic poems and how these poems affected the social structure The paper includes historical sources of social and heroic epic poems and a brief summary of their content. The characteristics of protogonists, functions of male and female protogonists within the texs and their social roles are also investigated. Finally, how epic poems influnced contemprary Kirghiz society is scrutiniced in the conlusion section.
