Bu çalışmanın amacı, Osmanlı döneminde hekim-hasta ilişkilerini ortaya koymaya ve aynı zamanda hekimin adli konulardaki rolüne de temasta bulunmaya yöneliktir. Çalışma, XVII. ve XVIII. yüzyıllara ait Kayseri Kadı sicillerindeki belgelere dayanmaktadır. Bu belgelere göre, hekimle hasta arasında düzenlenen rıza senetleri kadı tarafından onaylanmıştır. Bu rıza senetlerinde, hastanın ve hekimin adı, adresi, hastalığın adı, uygulanacak tedavi, hekim ücreti vb. bilgiler yer almıştır.
The aim of this study is to examine the relations of patient-physicion in the Ottoman period. This paper will also deal with the role of physicion in cases related to justice in Ottoman period. This study is based on the judical records of Kayseri in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. According to this records, the consent documents which was a patient-physicians contract approved by the judge. In this consents the name of the patient and the physicion, adresses, name of the disease, proposed surgical technique, surgeons fee got to be mentioned.
