Bu çalışmada Yahya Kemal Beyatlı’nın Sessiz Gemi adlı şiiri anlambilimsel/göstergebilimsel bir bakış açısıyla çözümlenecektir. Çalışmada öncelikle şiir çözümlemesine kaynak oluşturacak temel bilgilere yer verilecektir. Bu bilgiler ve bakış açısı ışığında, şiirin alanyazındaki incelemelerinde görülen “ölüm” izleğinin ötesinde bir “sonsuzluk” izleğinin bulunduğu savı anlambilimsel/göstergebilimsel açıdan, şiirde sunulan kavramların çağrışımlarından ve soyut-somut göstergelerin anlamlandırılmasından yararlanılarak kanıtlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Sunulan dünyanın yorumlanması ile yöntemsel bakış açısı arasında doğrudan bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Sonuçta şiir çözümlemelerinde nesnelliği sağlamak açısından kuramsal belirlemelerin bakış açısını etkilediği ve çözümlemenin bilimsel bir görünüm sunduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır.
In this study, a poem of Yahya Kemal Beyatlı named Sessiz Gemi will be analysed through a semantic and semiotic point of view. First of all, basic information which will form a basis in poem analysis will be included. In the light of this information and viewpoint, the assertion that the poem has an “eternity/infinity” theme beyond a “death” theme which is seen in the analysis of the poem in literature, is tried to be proven in terms of semantic/semiotic point of view, making use of associations of the concepts presented and the signification of concrete/abstract signs. There is a direct relation between the interpretation of the world presented and the methodical viewpoint. In conclusion, it is seen that theoritical determinations affect the viewpoint to ensure objectivity and the analysis presents a scientific aspect.
