Turkish women’s life in Turkish society has dramatically changed throughout history under the influence of social, political, religious and cultural factors. Such a change was inevitably reflected onto literature and the “womanly” theme was studied according to the process of civilization and cultural changes experienced by Turkish society, within the context of features revealed during three different periods.
