Main Characteristics Which Define The Morphology Of East Thrace Dialects


East Thrace dialects take part in the east branch of Rumelian dialects that is seperated into two branches as east and west. In this context, they constitude the Turkey part afterwards Bulgarian and Greek parts of east branch. East Rumeli dialects differentiate from west Rumelian dialects in many ways and resembles in phonetics and morphology features to Istanbul dialect which the Turkey Turkish literary language is based on. In this study, researcher deliberated on some main characteristics which define the morphology of East Thrace dialects. These characteristics have been determined based on the compiled texts which belong to region dialects and some results have been concluded.
