Köroğlu Destanı uzun asırlardan günümüze ulaşan ve hâlâ anlatım geleneğindeki yerini koruyan, sevilen bir destanımızdır. Türk dünyasında ve Türklerle uzun asırlar beraber yaşamış milletlerde derin etkiler bırakmış, destani bir eserdir. Geçmişi bugüne bağlayan bir abidedir. Bugün dahi anlatıldığı ve dinlenildiği coğrafi alanın genişliği dikkate alındığında Türkler arasında kültür bütünlüğünü koruma bakımından önemi daha iyi anlaşılacaktır. Köroğlu Destanı gibi hayatiyetini ve dinamizmini bu derece koruyan ve icra alanı geniş bir esere başka milletlerin hayatında rastlamak zordur. Türk destan geleneğindeki mükemmellik ve mektep seviyesine erişme bu sonucu doğuran etkenlerdendir. Yazımızda Köroğlu’nun Türkmen varyantında yer alan at, kadın ve silah kavramları ele alınacaktır.
The epic of Köroğlu is one of the most loved epics which reaches today from long centuries and stil keeps its place of importance in narration tradition. İt is an epical work that left deep influences over Turkish world and over nations lived together with Turks for long centuries. İt is a monument, binding the past and the present. Even today when taken into consideration of the wideness of its narreted and listened geographical area its importance from the view of maintaining the cultural integrity between Turks will be understood much beter. İt is difficult to come across such a work which maintains its vitality and dynamism with a wide performance area in the lives of other nations. The perfection and the reachment of education level in Turkish epic tradition are the factors which cause this result. İn our writing the concepts of horse, woman and weapon which take place in Turkoman variant of Köroğlu will be discussed.
