Bu kelimelerden bazıları kullanıldığı yer ve kullanıcıya göre değişik anlamlar kazanmıştır. Karahanlı eserlerindeki tün sözünün asıl anlamı ve yan anlamları, geçtiği esere göre türevleri ile birlikte sunulmuştur.
Karahanli Turkish forms one of the most important periods of Turkish literary language.
