The Traces Of Proto-Altaic Stem-Final Vowels In Qutadgu Bilig

One of the most important phonemic equivalence of Proto-Altaic theory, put forward by Ramstedt in 1922, is the fall of stem-final vowels firstly in Pre-Turkic and then in Proto-Turkic and Proto-Bulgarian. But it can not be said these short and unstressed vowels are not used completely. These vowels are protected in some one syllable verbs, in present simple form of some derivated verbs and in some multisyllable verbs in definite number. In this work, we studied Wisdom of Royal Glory, one of the most important work of Karakhanid Turkic, to discover the words which have the traces of the stem-final vowels of Proto-Altaic.
